And there was more sun in the morning! The plan is to get to the ferry in Craignure that will take me to Oban, back on mainland. To get there Glen More has to be conquered! So I pack my stuff and pedal on.

Day 12: Loch Na’Keal - Oban

Distance 40 miles / Elevation 710 meters

Loch Na’Keal

I completed my west coast loop of Mull, with couple of great hill climbs, cycled past Loch Spelve where Caroline’s fresh mussels came from, and rolled down to Craignure. At the pier the ferry was running late so I went to have some ice cream at "Arlene's" Coffee Shop. The owner lady (I guess Arlene herself), having heard my story offered ten pounds too! What a reception from Mull : )

CalMac ferry has trudged me over to Oban, only to find out that the Seafood Hut on the pier was out of the crab sandwiches! What a disappointment.. So I tried their whelks. Now I realise that it might not be everyones choice of afternoon snack, I actually really enjoyed the wee slimy buggers.

Later I found a great campsite a couple of miles south of town, overlooking Sound of Kerrera and Kerrera island itself, pictured above..

Tomorrow I head inland towards the great town of Inveraray, then let's see what the day brings.
